ADRC secures AmeriCorps RSVP grant to support 150 volunteers; MOUs to be renewed

Lori Ring, the ADRC’s RSVP Coordinator, reported July 27 that her AmeriCorps federal grant application was approved to support her position and up to 150 volunteers. Ring told the committee the grant is one of 130 RSVP grants awarded nationally and one of 10 in Wisconsin.
Ring said the award spans six years but must be renewed annually by March 31. She asked the committee to renew and sign the Memoranda of Understanding for each volunteer station; MOUs were distributed at the meeting and more will be available at future meetings. Ring said the program is seeking citizen members and County Board members to serve on a volunteer committee.
