Stockbridge Valley board elects Jonathan Strain president, Kristin Guinto vice president

At its July 8 reorganizational meeting, the Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board of Education elected Jonathan Strain president and Kristin Guinto vice president for the 2025–26 school year; both took the Oath of Office and the votes carried by simple majority.
Jonathan Strain was elected President of the Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board of Education for the 2025–26 school year and was administered the Oath of Office during the board’s reorganizational meeting on July 8, 2025. Kristin Guinto was elected Vice President and likewise took the oath.
The motions to elect were made from the board and approved by simple majority. The minutes record that the nominations were: Jonathan Strain nominated by Kristin Guinto, and Kristin Guinto nominated for vice president by Jaime Renner; both elections were carried by recorded majorities of board members present. The meeting opened at 6:30 p.m. and the Oath of Office had earlier been given to Daniel Gilbert.
The newly elected officers will serve for the 2025–26 school year and will assume duties including committee assignments later in the meeting. The board recessed at 6:45 p.m. after completing reorganizational business.
