Stormwater utility budget set at $1M; $600K in grant receipts expected for baffle box project

During the budget presentation, City Manager John W. Coffey said the stormwater utility budget for FY27 is listed at $1,000,000 and that the figure anticipates $600,000 in grant receipts for a baffle box project. "Stormwater utility, the budget is 1000000 dollars. That is, not that we're planning on spending 1000000 dollars, but in a conservative $600,000 grant receipts for the baffle box to be recognized next year along with our assessment fees," Coffey said.
Coffey described planned expenditures including routine maintenance, a rain‑barrel and waterfront buffer matching grant program, capital improvements and reserves for future projects. He also said the city will place roll‑forward budget amendments on council agendas in November to recognize prior years' unexpended funds.
