The Village of Briarcliff council convened its regular meeting at 7:01 p.m. April 30, 2025. Mayor Hostetler presided with Aldermen Charlesworth, Johnston, Aldrich and Richmond present; Alderman Taylor was absent. During Citizen's Communications residents urged placement of the speed monitor around Briarcliff and asked for updates on the community's Firewise status and the village police car.
Alderman Aldrich moved, seconded by Alderman Johnston, to accept and waive the reading of the minutes from the March 26, 2025 regular meeting; the motion passed with all present voting in favor. Alderman Richmond read the Village Financial Report for March 2025. The City Administrator reported a surveyor delay for the planned new main line and said staff is considering requests for bids for about 9,000 feet of 12‑inch pipe. The City Administrator also stated the water plant is operating quietly and reminded residents that Stage 2 watering restrictions allow watering once per week only. The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
