The Comanche County Tax Correction Board convened at 10:00 a.m. July 1, 2026 in Room 303 of the Comanche County Courthouse in Lawton. Chairman Johnny Owens called the meeting to order and County Clerk Carrie Tubbs called the roll; Owens and Vice-Chair J.P. Richard were present and member Grant Edwards was absent.
During a brief meeting the board approved the minutes of June 22, 2026 after a motion by Vice-Chair J.P. Richard and a second from Chairman Owens, with both voting aye and no nays. The board then approved two amended tax corrections for Raytheon, listed as #26-054 and #26-055, on a motion by Owens and second by Richard; both members voted aye. The board also approved tax correction 26-056 for McConnell (listed as Earl Pharr IV), reducing taxes by $3,293.00; Owens moved, Richard seconded, and the motion passed with two ayes and no nays. With no further business, the board adjourned following a motion by Owens and second by Richard.
The actions taken were procedural corrections to property-tax records and do not include additional findings in the meeting minutes. The clerk recorded the votes as 2-0 on each motion; no public comments were offered during the meeting.
