Mayor Hostetler holds final public hearing on Briarcliff 2024–25 budget; proposes $0.0691 property tax rate per $100

Mayor Hostetler called the Village of Briarcliff’s public hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2024, and explained that the session was the final public hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2024–25 budget. "This is our final Public hearing for the proposed Budget for the fiscal year 2024-2025 and the Council will adopt the Budget at the Regular Meeting on September 11, 2024," Mayor Hostetler said.
During the short hearing the mayor presented the proposed property tax breakdown: maintenance and operations (M&O) of 0.0430 per $100 valuation and interest and sinking (I&S) of 0.0261 per $100 valuation, for a combined proposed rate of 0.0691 per $100 valuation. The hearing record shows the meeting was adjourned at 7:03 p.m., and the minutes were attested by Amber Rowe, Village Clerk. The council scheduled a formal adoption vote at its regular meeting later that day.
