The council held public hearings and approved two ordinances on second reading that change local parking rules around the train station and paid-street parking hours.
Ordinance 2026-11 amends Chapter 63 (park-and-ride lot regulations) to clarify hours, overnight-parking rules and penalties. Ordinance 2026-12 amends Chapter 48B (vehicles and traffic) to specify days and times for paid parking. Both ordinances were presented for second reading and, with no public comment recorded in the meeting, were adopted by roll call; the clerk recorded affirmative votes from the council on both measures.
The council said the adjustments respond to prior feedback and are intended to bring clarity to enforcement and signage for commuters and residents around the train station parking areas.
