Mayor swears in four new Fairfield police officers

The mayor conducted a swearing-in ceremony for four new Fairfield police officers during the Aug. 10 council meeting.
The assembled officers took the oath to support the U.S. Constitution, Ohio law, the city charter and ordinances and to discharge the duties of police officer for the City of Fairfield. The mayor welcomed the officers, presented badges and thanked them for joining the department, saying the city expects "first"-rate service.
Council and staff congratulated the officers and the mayor noted the department's support network in the audience. The swearing-in was followed by a brief special presentation.
