Bridge City council notes pickleball ribbon cutting, rodeo date and TML voting instructions

Officials announced a pickleball ribbon cutting Oct. 24, a pink-out play day/rodeo Oct. 11 at Cowboy Church, and reminded councilors how to sign up to represent the city at the Texas Municipal League business meeting.
City Manager Bart Bartkowiak told the council the pickleball ribbon cutting is set for Friday, Oct. 24 at 9:00 a.m. He also reported that the TXDOT Transportation Alternatives Program moved the approval of sidewalk applications from Oct. 16 to Nov. 13 and that the city has responded to a requested RFI and is awaiting approval.
Council Member Bryant Champagne reminded the public about the pink-out play day at Cowboy Church and the rodeo on Saturday, Oct. 11 and encouraged families to attend. Mayor David Rutledge advised that any councilor attending the Texas Municipal League business meeting who wants to cast the city's vote should sign in at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday to receive the voting card.
