The Eudora City Commission approved a proclamation declaring April as National Arbor Month and April 24, 2026, as National Arbor Day to preserve the City's Tree City status. Parks and Recreation Director Sally Pennington introduced the item and explained that the proclamation is part of maintaining the City's eligibility for the Tree City program.
Commissioner Roberta Lehmann moved to approve the proclamation and Commissioner Grant High seconded the motion. The vote was 5-0 in favor. The Parks and Recreation Department will coordinate Arbor Day activities tied to the designation.
