Committee reviews sales tax and revenue reports; 2027 budget process begins

Finance Director Betty Bickel reviewed the 2026 County Sales Tax Report, bank reconciliation report, and the 2026 revenue and expenditure report; committee discussion was informational and no formal action was taken. Bickel also provided additional information during a discussion of proposed Bug Tussel bonding.
County Administrator Richard Heath reported there have been no insurance claims against the county and no workers' compensation claims; Heath also said the 2027 budget process has begun and provided an overview of work completed to date. The committee received a Capital Improvement Plan update and discussed anticipated requests; no formal budget actions were taken at the meeting.
