Council amends midyear budget, adds $25,000 for Columbia Street Landing Project

Councilman Burrell said the council regularly reviews midyear changes and proposed an amendment to the 2026 budget amendment to add $25,000 for the Columbia Street Landing Project. He explained the additional allocation is meant to reduce the city's need to repeatedly chase the project during its multi-year design and preconstruction phase.
"My proposal to the amendment, to the budget amendment, is to add an additional $25,000 taking the total decrease to the general fund from $209,212.55 to $234,212.55," Burrell said. The council moved to amend the amendment, conducted a roll call and adopted the budget amendment as amended. Administration staff later briefed the council on the 2027 budget timeline.
