A motion was read by a commissioner (speaker S3) stating that the pretrial release subcommittee had rendered its findings to the ACP and no longer had a mandate. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners thanked the subcommittee members for their work and asked that the subcommittee’s findings be included in the commission’s annual report so the effort is visible to stakeholders.
The vote concluded formal closure of that subcommittee and commissioners agreed to remove the pretrial release slide from the Sept. 14 presentation deck. One member asked that the ACP preserve the record of the subcommittee’s review in the annual report so future councils and the public can see the work that was completed.
