The Huachuca City Town Council voted to schedule a work session for April 2, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. to explore possible annexation of two areas adjacent to the town: parcels along Highway 90 north of Huachuca City and properties in the 400 and 500 blocks of Lower Huachuca City. The meeting will focus on estimating the costs of extending municipal services, gauging property-owner interest and weighing benefits to current residents.
Town Manager Suzanne Harvey told the council staff will evaluate service-extension costs, the level of interest among property owners and whether annexation would produce net benefits for town residents. The scheduling decision gives staff time to gather cost estimates and community input ahead of the work session.
