The board opened the hearing at 7:10 p.m. and closed it at 7:17 p.m. with no public comment.
According to a letter presented to the board from the Jefferson County Department of Planning and Community Development, moving the truck-storage building and adding "six 49,000-gallon propane tanks" changes the scope of the originally approved plan and therefore triggers review by the Jefferson County Planning Board. The board noted the county's determination and scheduled the matter to be revisited at the Planning Board’s July 7 meeting.
"They have determined that this constitutes a major change from the originally approved proposal," the county letter stated, prompting the board to refer the application for county review. No formal vote on the application was taken by the Planning Board on June 2. The hearing record shows no public comments were offered during the session.
Next steps are administrative: the Planning Board will carry the item forward on the July 7 agenda and await the outcome of the required Jefferson County Planning Board review before taking further local action.
