During the environmental-services update on Aug. 4, 2026, the board approved cancelling the Solid Waste Transfer Station Agreement and directed staff to give notice to Stevens County. The motion to cancel the agreement was moved by Commissioner Troy Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Ken Johnson, and carried.
Environmental Services also notified the board that the Environmental Services Director will apply for the County Agricultural Inspector Grant for 2027; the minutes state there is no cost to the county for that application.
