Bid opening set for Old Rome State Road water main; easement, fluoride building and implementation timeline noted

Taylor Jennings of engineering firm Barton & Loguidice updated the board on the town's water system improvements and said the Old Rome State Road water main bid opening is scheduled for 12/18/2025. Minutes record difficulties contacting an easement owner for the fluoride building location and that staff have reached out to the county regarding the property's back taxes and possible tax foreclosure.
The engineer's update set a construction window of April–August 2026. The minutes also note that the town's TDE Comprehensive Flushing Plan was submitted and approved by the EPA and NYSDOH and that the town will implement the plan over the next year; future Water District #9 was discussed as a planning item.
