Engineers report water main and sewer construction progress; fluoride building drawings submitted to NYSDOH

Taylor Jennings of engineering firm Barton & Loguidice briefed the Town Board on multiple water-system projects. Jennings said fluoride injection building drawings for the Old Rome State Road water main were submitted to the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) in June and that engineers expect to put the project out to bid in July or August 2025.
Jennings also reported ongoing water meter replacements and work on Sewer District #1, noting construction is scheduled from May through November 2025 and easement coordination is underway. The minutes record that approximately 4,200 linear feet of rock has been sawed during construction and that multiple residential and commercial property owners have inquired about sewer hookups.
