Hounsfield gets NYSDOH approval for fluoride building; bidding set for Nov.–Dec. 2025

Taylor Jennings of Barton & Loguidice told the Town Board that "NYSDOH approval has been received for the fluoride injection building," and that the town expects to put related work out to bid in November–December 2025. Jennings said the firm is still trying to contact the owner of the proposed fluoride-building location and has reached out to the county regarding back taxes and possible tax-foreclosure status on the parcel.
Town Clerk Brenda Bockus reported ongoing work on water meter replacements, saying, "The Town Clerk is working with Core & Main to address final billing/programming issues on a few accounts." The board also heard that the town’s TDE comprehensive flushing plan was approved by the EPA and NYSDOH and will be implemented over the next year, items Jennings presented as part of broader water-system improvements.
