Board notes equipment repairs, donations and approves Strikers tournament date

The Commission reviewed several standing items and facility updates. Daktronics repaired the malfunctioning scoreboard at Hallie Field and will submit an invoice for $575 to the Village. Controllers for the Veterans and Memorial Field scoreboards were installed and can now be operated via cell phones. The Normand family (Ryan and Renee) donated and installed sod for the soccer fields at Hallie Park; the Board thanked the family for the contribution.
On rentals and events, the Commission approved the Strikers Soccer tournament for Oct. 9–11, 2026, contingent on receipt of required payments and deposits. The motion to approve the tournament was made by Cathy (Ms. Schley) and seconded by Jayson Scholtz; the motion carried.
