Brackett ISD honors FFA and ACE students; principal recognized

The Brackett ISD board opened its Oct. 20 meeting by recognizing students from the Brackett FFA chapter and the district ACE program and presenting a token of appreciation to Principal Jimenez.
A staff member introduced FFA president Sadie Brennan and invited the principal to join the recognition. An FFA student told the board the chapter had held two meetings and that members ‘‘have opportunities to plan and have new ideas’’ and participate in competitions that require resumes, applications and interviews. The staff member noted ACE students attended after hours and that ACE director Mrs. Una accompanied them for a short presentation.
The chair asked for a motion to accept the merit recognition; a motion and a second were recorded. The board moved on to other agenda items after the recognition.
