Presenter (S1) said the proposed budget reduces supplies and instructional materials by about $12,966 and that the district will prioritize needs over wants: "If it was on their needs list, they got it. But if it was on their wants list, like, they wanted to, I don't know, the elementary replaced clocks for teaching, telling time. Well, we would have looked at them, and if the clocks were in fairly good shape, we're not replacing the clocks," the Presenter said.
The Presenter also described reduced funding for field trips and athletic travel and reported a meeting with Coach Jaeger to limit travel and meals. The board discussed possible increased fundraising or external partnerships to fill some gaps; staff noted several districts seek corporate donations or consortium support for program costs.
