Board approves minor plats allowing small splits for housing and farm adjustments

The board approved two minor-plat resolutions after brief presentations by Lindsey Kaylor of Building & Zoning.
Kaylor explained the first minor plat for Leslie Mathias was a simple split that separates a hog building and solar panels from the surrounding agricultural land: “This plat, they're just splitting off the hog building and the solar panels from the ag ground.” The board approved the resolution by voice vote.
On a separate motion the supervisors approved a minor plat for Richard and Marlys Reynolds to split off about five acres, citing an historic home footprint and provided easements to access the new lot. Kaylor said the acreage removed from production was small and that the split is allowed because a home previously existed on the site.
Both minor-plat approvals were recorded with standard motion/second and unanimous voice votes.
