Bremer County accepted an Iowa Department of Transportation LRTF grant for roadside vegetation work and approved a resolution authorizing the county to enter an agreement with DOT.
Nick briefed the board on the award and the local contribution: “Our the total funding we're getting is $9,739.40. Our contribution to that was only $2,400,” he said, describing equipment and how the funding will support a soil‑rig to prepare and seed roadways. The board moved and approved a resolution authorizing the chair to sign the DOT agreement and noted wet signatures would be retained for county and DOT files.
Staff will finalize paperwork and return signed copies to the DOT and county records.
