Taylor Jennings of engineering firm Barton & Loguidice told the Town Board Oct. 8 that several water-system projects are advancing.
"B&L submitted fluoride injection building drawings to NYSDOH," the minutes record. Bidding for the Old Rome State Road water main was planned for September/October 2025, and easement work for the fluoride building location was expected between August and October. The consultant also said the town submitted a Comprehensive Flushing Plan that received EPA and NYSDOH approval and will be implemented over the next year.
Board members were also briefed on ongoing meter replacements and troubleshooting work to diagnose and correct remaining system issues. The minutes do not record estimated project costs or a final schedule for the meter work.
