Town receives water and sewer project updates; approves Change Order #1 and Pay App #2

Barton & Loguidice representative Taylor Jennings updated the Town Board on multiple water and sewer infrastructure items for the town. Jennings reported progress on the Old Rome State Road water main (fluoride injection building drawings submitted to NYSDOH), ongoing water meter replacements, and coordination of Sewer District #1 easements for construction scheduled May–November 2025. "Approximately 8,200 LF of rock has been sawed through," the update recorded.
The board authorized Deputy Supervisor John LaDuc to sign Change Order #1 to allow NYSDOT drawing revisions after a motion by Councilwoman Dawn Nier, seconded by Councilman Chris Lee. Separately, the board approved Pay Application #2 for the Sewer District 1 project (motion by Nier, second by Lee). The minutes note remaining permitting and approval steps including a TDE agreement and a flushing plan and system modeling to be submitted to DOH and EPA by Sept. 1, 2025, and that Comptroller approval for Water Service Area #8 is still pending.
