Council corrects short-term rental count, asks for periodic review

City staff notified the council that last month’s short-term rental report used the wrong data pool and overstated the license count. Douglas, a city staff member, said the packet has been corrected and “we have posted the corrected report on the city's website in the other files column of that page.”
A council member had moved to amend the minutes to note concern about year-over-year growth and neighborhood spread and to request a periodic review; the amendment was seconded and approved. Council members also asked staff to add an “STR units by license” box so the report can show both licenses and units for apples-to-apples trend comparison going forward.
