Staff member (S2) presented the district’s first enrollment report and said total enrollment stood at 494 as of the previous Friday — below the 500‑student mark the district tracks.
S2 said, "As of last Friday, we were at 494... our pre k is only at 20... our kinder is only at 26," and warned those shortfalls affect average daily attendance calculations that drive state funding. Trustees discussed demographic patterns and noted many districts are seeing lower early‑grade numbers.
The staff report said the district will continue weekly tracking, will present the first ADA‑attendance percentage report soon, and will include midyear testing data to monitor progress on district academic goals. Board members asked that administration continue outreach to families in early grades to support enrollment.
