Principals report attendance recognition, spirit week and fall sports playoff runs

Elementary Principal Michelle Bombard told the board that the first Top Tiger assembly of the year recognized 128 students for perfect attendance and detailed upcoming events: spirit week next week and the annual costume parade on Oct. 31 at 12:45 p.m. Bombard also noted PreK and Kindergarten received a fire safety presentation from the Tioga Center Fire Department and that 4th-grade five-week reports and student-of-concern meetings took place.
Interim Middle School Principal James Wood and High School Principal James Howey reported similar operational items: five-week reports were distributed, after-school study hall will include just under 20 students, Halloween Fun Night is scheduled for Oct. 24, the homecoming football game is Oct. 24 with the dance on Oct. 25, and fall sports (girls soccer, volleyball, football) are advancing toward the playoffs. Student Board Member Eden Cooper added that National Honor Society and Student Council will host a Trunk or Treat at the Oct. 31 home football game.
