Superintendent Joshua Roe told the Board that a dry well in the back parking lot caved in over the summer; the hole has been opened for inspection, covered with material and blocked off for safety. Roe said the district also discovered damage to the stadium fencing caused by a vehicle that went through the fence and onto the track, but he stated there was no damage to the track itself.
Roe said the district plans to install cameras and add new gates at the top of the driveway to improve security and to help identify anyone who damages facilities in the future. No formal action or funding authorization for cameras or gates was taken at the Sept. 3 meeting; the report was presented for the board’s information and to flag needed follow up by administration.
