Board moves County Board of Equalization matters to special meeting Aug. 6 and reconvenes

At the Aug. 4 meeting the Board of County Commissioners adjourned as the BOCC and convened as the County Board of Equalization to consider valuation recommendations arising from recent hearings. Commissioner Amy Mitchell moved to transfer discussion and action on valuation changes and the resolution setting final CBOE decisions for tax year 2026 to a special meeting on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026. Commissioner Gemmer seconded and both motions carried 3-0.
After adjourning the CBOE, the board reconvened as the BOCC, received public comments from several individuals (names recorded in the minutes but not the content), and adjourned the regular meeting at 3:30 p.m.
