Council names delegates to MERS and Michigan Municipal League meetings

Council appointed delegates to upcoming conferences: officer and employee delegates to the MERS annual meeting in Grand Rapids (Oct. 8, 2026), and named Kevin Smith as official representative and John Osterbaum as alternate to the Michigan Municipal League annual meeting (Oct. 7, 2026) at Grand Traverse Resort.
Council voted to appoint delegates to two upcoming meetings. By motion, the council appointed officer and employee delegates (Jason Panock as officer delegate; Kim Dannenberg as employee delegate; Heather Shinnavar as alternate) to the MERS annual meeting in Grand Rapids on Oct. 8, 2026. The council also moved to name Kevin Smith as the official representative and John Osterbaum as alternate to the Michigan Municipal League (MML) annual meeting at Grand Traverse Resort on Oct. 7, 2026.
Council members noted materials about items to be discussed and to be voted on at the MML meeting are included in the packet and online; they encouraged trustees who will attend to review those materials and coordinate any voting instructions.
