The Drexel Heights Fire District governing board on June 27 adopted a final budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, setting total estimated revenues at $19,394,730 and estimated expenditures at $18,968,504.
Board Chair Gary Bynum moved to adopt Resolution 2025-08 approving the final budget; Elaine Aldrete seconded and the motion passed unanimously (5-0). Chief Douglas Chappell had introduced the FY26 budget during the meeting and the board opened a public hearing before taking the vote. "Move to adopt Resolution 2025-08, which approves a final budget for the Drexel Heights Fire District for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2026, with $19,394,730.00 in total estimated revenues and $18,968,504.00 in estimated total expenditures," the motion as recorded in the minutes stated.
The board opened the required public hearing on the proposed budget and, after Chief Chappell presented the proposal, recorded that there were no public comments. The hearing was closed by unanimous vote prior to the budget adoption. The minutes do not record additional conditions or amendments to the adopted totals.
