"Usage at the airport is way down," Belgarde said, suggesting the economy could be a factor. He added that "the Flight Check is ready to go," and asked the board to consider equipment upgrades including a snowplow with brush. When Vice‑Chairperson Laura Mancevich asked about a backup generator following recent county outages, Belgarde said, "no, we do not have a generator."
Belgarde also noted the small tractor mower is in current use but could be upgraded. The board did not take immediate action; the manager asked members to consider the equipment requests and come prepared to discuss procurement options at a future meeting.
