District accepts retirements, appoints substitutes and coach; cross-district softball arrangement approved

The Town of Webb UFSD Board of Education accepted the retirement of Laura Marleau, Typist, effective Nov. 2, 2025, and recorded appreciation for her years of service. The board also accepted the resignation of Madeline Duffy as Girls Modified Softball Coach effective March 28, 2025, and appointed Molly Clemans as the Girls Modified Softball Coach for the remainder of the 2024–25 school year with a prorated stipend of $2,587.
Administration recommended and the board approved Emma Whitney as a Long-Term Substitute Speech and Language Teacher for 2025–26 at the district's long-term substitute rate. The board accepted the resignation of custodian Kyle Yuckel effective May 18, 2025, later approving him as a substitute cleaner for 2024–25; Andrew Risley was appointed as a provisional custodian effective April 14, 2025 at $17 per hour. The board also approved summer cleaners Gaige Stanley and Garrett Stanley and a cross-contract with Remsen Central School District to combine the girls modified softball team for the 2024–25 season. All motions passed on 4–0 recorded votes.
