Board awards $7.12M in HVAC project contracts; work slated to begin in May

Contract awards recorded in the minutes list Beebe Construction Services as the General Construction contractor for $2,038,300; Ontario HVAC for Mechanical work at $4,045,000; Automation Experts for Electrical work at $593,600; and Yanuk Excavating for Sitework at $439,000. Each award was approved by a 4–0 vote.
Superintendent Jennifer Dunn told the board that Phase 1 of the HVAC project is slated to begin in May, with the majority of construction work scheduled from June through November; she said Gilbert Street will be configured one-way and at times closed to through traffic during summer work. The board also approved listed alternate bid items by facility area as part of the contract packages.
