Superintendent Jennifer Dunn told the board on June 12 that the district had received a Social Safety New Implementation Grant and intends to house a Community Resource Navigator in the Community Wing.
Dunn said regionalization meetings are ongoing and APPR guidance is starting to be issued. She reported transportation concerns — specifically a shortage of bus drivers — and said the district is exploring the possibility of moving to a single dismissal time while actively recruiting full‑time, part‑time and substitute drivers with paid training.
“Transportation concerns have arisen, and the District is looking at the possibility of one dismissal time,” Dunn said, adding that the district is advertising for bus drivers with flexible schedules and paid training. She also reported that the capital project is moving along and that the 2025 commencement will take place Friday, June 20 at 7 p.m. at North Street. The board requested projected sports participation numbers from Mr. Brown at the next meeting.
The items were reported as updates rather than actions requiring votes.
