Superintendent Andy Ball and CISD Technology Director Barbi Ernst described a proposed Security Systems & Integration Specialist position to serve as the primary coordinator for the district’s surveillance system of more than 200 cameras, mandated emergency alert technologies, integrated building systems (including card readers), and to assist staff in using instructional technology.
Ball said he and Ernst began discussing the role while preparing the Cybersecurity Annex to the Emergency Operations Plan and that the board would consider adding the position at its March meeting. No motion or vote was recorded at this meeting; trustees were presented with the proposal for future consideration.
