Recreation Director Laura LaBarge updated the board on a broad set of recreation and campground items, including restoration of seasonal Wi-Fi and installation of security cameras at Little Wolf, and a tally of 18 secured seasonal sites with 14 names on the waiting list. "We have 18 seasonal sites secured for the upcoming season. There are currently 14 campers on the waiting list for seasonal sites," LaBarge said.
LaBarge also reported more than 150 youth registrations across six levels of baseball and softball programs, thanked volunteer coaches and umpires, and described staffing needs: interviews are ongoing for 7 of 11 counselor positions and 4 of 11 lifeguard positions. The board approved hiring the day-camp counselors and lifeguards recommended by LaBarge and agreed to pay a limited number of summer staff part time to help cover events and operations while recruitment continues.
