The Lafayette City Council voted July 13 to approve two supplier quotes: $4,827.36 for street repairs on Lafayette Avenue and Griebel Lane and $21,722.00 to build a Fire Department training area. The motions were moved and seconded by council members and passed unanimously.
Utility Superintendent Allan Fox presented the quotes during his report, and councilors approved the repairs in back-to-back motions. The training-area quote was approved with a separate motion; the action follows the council's priority to maintain local infrastructure and support emergency-services training. The motions were recorded as approved by voice vote.
