The commission approved an amendment to the professional services agreement with International Consulting Engineers (ICE) to add construction-phase services and approved a supplemental agreement with EDCON for BIM/4D modeling and visualization services.
Staff member (speaker 13) said the construction-phase-services fee is $390,920 (approximately 4% of current construction cost estimates) and an additional $60,000 is budgeted for BIM/4D modeling to support scheduling, virtual sequencing and visualizations. "The amendment establishes a compensation for construction fee services in the amount of $390,920. That's, 4% of the current costs of the construction and an additional 60,000 for supplemental services," staff said.
Staff said the services include construction administration, contractor coordination, shop-drawing review, change-order evaluation, field reports and payment certification; the supplemental modeling work will enable virtual simulations of construction phases and critical-path analysis.
