Commission awards $98,908 low bid for parking improvements at Alanis Villagomez Park

City staff told the commission they solicited three bids for parking improvements at Alanis Villagomez Park, described the project map and the plan to add parking on 6th Street while relocating the Duranta South lot to reduce traffic conflicts. Staff said the low responsible bid was $98,908 from Lema Construction LLC and recommended awarding the contract to that bidder.
"We had a cost system about 150,000, but we ended having a low bid of $98,908 for ... Lema Construction LLC," staff said in the presentation. Commissioners moved, seconded, and approved the recommendation by voice vote.
Staff indicated the work is intended to improve circulation and parking safety near the park; no additional funding requests were made during the presentation.
