Commission approves $126,700 change order to pave Stumptown Road to reduce cemetery dust

Commissioners on Aug. 4 approved Change Order #2 for the 2026 Street Improvements Project to add paving of Stumptown Road, a roughly 2,200-linear-foot segment intended partly to reduce dust near the cemetery.
Sara Cline of Trihydro explained the work will include scarifying and reconditioning the existing road base, fine grading and compaction, and a 3-inch asphalt lift on a 24-foot-wide section. "We're requesting approval of change order #2 for adding Stumptown Road paving to the project," Cline said. The commission approved the addition, which increases the contract by $126,700; the motion carried 4-0.
CEO Everett praised Trihydro's work and the commission directed the Road Department to complete the pre-paving base prep prior to contractor mobilization. The record shows the contract dates were not altered by the change order.
