Tupper Lake accepts resignation of acting village justice; reappoints housing authority and planning board members

Trustees voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Acting Village Justice Leonard Young effective Nov. 30, 2024. The motion to accept the resignation was made by Trustee Leon LeBlanc and seconded by Trustee Eric Shaheen; the vote carried 4–0.
In the same meeting the board reappointed Kathleen LeFebvre to the Village Housing Authority with a term to expire Aug. 8, 2027; reappointed Joanne Maroun to the Village Housing Authority with a term to expire Aug. 8, 2029; and reappointed David St. Onge to the Joint Planning Board with a term through Dec. 31, 2030. Trustee Eric Shaheen moved the reappointments and Trustee Leon LeBlanc seconded; the motions carried 4–0. The minutes do not record any discussion about replacements for the justice position or details of the Housing Authority members’ qualifications.
