Water/Wastewater Superintendent Mark Robillard reported the village will pilot two treatment approaches as part of the ongoing new Water Treatment Plant project: iron removal at the Pitchfork wells and a combined Trident/GAC filtration system at the Tupper Lake source. Procurement and scheduling are pending as staff await pricing and unit availability.
Robillard also outlined related operational work: crews have been cleaning fire hydrants, updating infrastructure maps and index cards from 2024 construction work, and completing pending water and sewer taps on Tamarac Drive and Demars Blvd. The department is continuing to collect lead service information from customers and thanked residents for their cooperation.
