County staff said the action responds to an offer on the annex property (listed as 111 Rose Street in Georgetown) and asked for authorization so staff can proceed with negotiations and paperwork within the short timelines common to real estate transactions. "What prompted this is we received an offer for the annex," staff told the board, noting the parcel may include associated parking and that there are existing contractual obligations (including electric vehicle chargers) that staff will have to address. After the vote the board moved to hold an executive session under Colorado law to discuss the details of the offer, negotiation strategy and attorney compensation.
