Council holds first reading for tattoo-parlor special use permit; one public speaker voiced support

Development Services Assistant Director Andreina Davila-Quintero presented a Special Use Permit application to allow a tattoo parlor and body piercing studio to occupy about 1,300 square feet at 401 East Whitestone Boulevard. Nathan Harwell of Kimley Horn spoke on behalf of the applicant and answered questions about the tenant layout.
During the hearing, Cedar Park resident Darron Jurajda registered a public comment in support. Mayor Penniman-Morin opened and then closed the public hearing. The item was heard on first reading as part of the ordinance process and will return to council for final action.
