Council discussed Agenda Item F.7 — a proposed purchase of residential trash and recycling carts from Toter LLC in an amount not to exceed $130,000. Councilmember Mel Kirkland removed the item from the Consent Agenda to ask whether the purchase would result in an additional fee for residents and to ask about the funding source.
Finance Director Kevin Klosterboer stated the carts are owned by the city and the expenditure will be funded through the solid waste funds. Mayor Pro Tem Anne Duffy moved to approve the purchase; Councilmember Kevin Harris seconded and the council voted 7-0 to adopt Resolution R022.24.11.14.F7 authorizing the purchase.
