Council approves $325,000 contract to create Cedar Park transportation criteria manual

The Cedar Park City Council approved a professional engineering services agreement with The Goodman Corporation Nov. 14 to produce a Transportation Criteria Manual for the city, with a contract not to exceed $325,000. Randy Skinner, assistant director for transportation, outlined the manual’s scope, which includes street design criteria, traffic impact analysis standards, pavement design and sidewalk requirements.
A public commenter, Darron Jurajda, registered support. Councilmember Mel Kirkland moved to approve the agreement; Mayor Pro Tem Anne Duffy seconded the motion. The resolution passed 7-0 as “A Resolution Authorizing a Professional Engineering Services Agreement With The Goodman Corporation For The Development Of A Cedar Park Transportation Criteria Manual In An Amount Not To Exceed $325,000” (R026.24.11.14.H2). The manual will serve as a technical reference for staff and developers; subsequent design standards and capital projects will reference the manual when finalized.
