The Town Board affirmed its March 26 order and a Notice of Violation regarding numerous property-maintenance and abandoned-vehicle violations at 1048 Route 17 (Tax Parcel 205-2-9), where owner Donna Kunkel did not appear at the April 22 due process hearing.
The Building Inspector told the Board that the violations identified in a February 18, 2026 Notice remained materially unchanged at a March 24 inspection. The resolution directs the Owner to abate and remedy the violations no later than May 26, 2026, and authorizes Town employees or contractors to enter the property and perform the work if the Owner fails to act, with all costs charged to the Owner and subject to lien if unpaid. The Board adopted the resolution on a motion by Supervisor McMillen, seconded by Councilmember Eirand; recorded vote: 5 Ayes, 0 Nays.
The resolution records the option of prosecution in Town Justice Court in addition to abatement, and declares the Work a SEQR Type II action that will not have a significant adverse environmental impact.
